Revlon Elects Meyers as Chief Science Officer

Position to start in 2010 due to Scancarella's retirement

Alan Meyers will join Revlon as executive vice president, chief science officer, effective Jan. 1, 2010. Upon joining Revlon, Mr. Meyers will assume leadership of Revlon’s worldwide research and development functions, succeeding Neil Scancarella, Revlon’s chief science officer since January 2000. Mr. Scancarella is scheduled to retire in December 2009.

Mr. Meyers has spent his career in cosmetics research and development in positions of increasing scope and responsibility with Avon, Elizabeth Arden and L’Oréal USA, serving most recently as senior vice president, research and development and consumer affairs for L’Oréal USA.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Mr. Kennedy said, “We would like to thank Neil Scancarella for his excellent leadership and success as head of our research and development organization and wish him well in his retirement. We are thrilled that Alan Meyers will be joining us as head of our research and development organization. We are confident that Alan’s expertise, strong background and broad experience will continue to strengthen and build Revlon’s important research and development and product development activities.”

Mr. Meyers said, “I am delighted to join Revlon’s senior executive team and to lead its worldwide research and development function. I plan to build upon Revlon’s strong heritage of developing and marketing innovative products.”

Mr. Scancarella said, “Revlon is a leader in innovation in cosmetics and beauty care and it has been personally rewarding and an honor to lead our research and development team. It has also been a pleasure to be associated with such a dynamic company. I know that technical leadership for Revlon will continue to advance with Alan.”
